The village
Within a stone throw from the most famous villages of Provence: Gordes and its village of Bories, Roussillon and its ochres, Fontaine de Vaucluse built around its resurgence in a closed valley, Isle sur la Sorgue and its flea market, Avignon and its festival, Saint Rémy the capital of the Alpilles… Maubec is divided between plain, mountain and its old village perched on the edge of the Luberon. Many pedestrian paths, GR trails and other cycle-tourist paths find their direct access in the village. The fauna and flora are protected there.
Provence would not be Provence without its lively and colorful markets. In the hamlet of Coustellet, close to Maubec, the most famous farmers' market in the country is held every Sunday morning. Buy directly from the farmers the best local products. Treat yourself to the unparalleled scent of sun-kissed fruits and savor Provençal-style olives without moderation.
